About this Role
We are currently recruiting for a Production Operative to join our client in a busy manufacturing environment based in Rainham, Essex. The successful candidate will be responsible for fine grinding components to single-micron tolerances, ensuring all work meets the required quality and specification standards Working Hours & Pay £14.30 per hour Monday to Friday rotating shift pattern (You must be available for all 3 shift patterns)
- 06:00–14:00
- 14:00–22:00
- 22:00–06:00
The successful candidate will have following experience
- Minimum 1–2 years’ relevant manufacturing / Production experience
- Experience working to close tolerances
- Previous machining, grinding or precision manufacturing experience is desirable
- Computer literate and comfortable using computerised systems
- Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on quality
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Well organised and able to work effectively under pressure
- Strong understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing environment
Responsibilities
- Loading and operating machinery
- Setting tools, including deburring tools, reamers and grinding wheels
- Measuring finished components accurately against specifications
- Recording measurements using computerised SPC systems
- Monitoring OEE and production performance
- Maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail
- Following all health and safety procedures at all times
