Thurrock to become the next powerhouse of the UK economy

The green light has finally been given to the development of the old Coryton Oil Refinery site that closed back in 2012.

Our business is focussed on delivering recruitment solutions in the industrial and manufacturing sectors, and we were pleased to see the recent announcement from Thurrock Council.

The site has the potential to bring over 5,500 new jobs to the area and add more than £350m a year to the economy.

The plans for the Thames Enterprise Park will include opening up public access to the riverfront, which will bring major benefits to local communities.

The scheme will provide over 3.7m sq ft of development space for manufacturing, logistics and energy. The owners of the site hope to see occupiers up and running by 2024.

Essex is already home to some of the UK’s leading manufactures in Aerospace, Civil Environmental, Defence, Medtech and Agritech with 725 advanced engineering and manufacturing businesses in the county.

It is supported by a growing logistics centre, mainly based around Thurrock with more than 35,000 people in a range of industries including freight, supply chain management, vehicle manufacturing, passenger transport and traffic management.

Our team of recruitment consultants are placing candidates across all sectors including permanent, contract and temporary roles and we are excited with the opportunities this new investment will bring to the area.

If you are looking for a reactive recruiter, we are ready to take your call.
