Our first team-building day was a photo finish.
Last Friday afternoon the team took the mobile phone and headed off to Sandown Park Racecourse, the day had been planned for a while and we tied in our team building with Ladies Day.
It turned out to be one of the hottest days so far this year and everyone made a real effort with hats and fascinators and that was just the lads!
This was our first opportunity this year to bring everyone together and take time to bond with the team. We had one of our consultants join us for the day and Amanda Gee was on a losing streak.
The team worked together on researching horses, finding out how the bets could be placed and supporting the winners and losers was so important. Amanda sadly didn’t have one win all day and the team rallied around and didn’t let it get her down.
We are a sales and people business, finding and placing candidates, selling them the position and supporting the temps into work and also sourcing new clients and building relationships, so its critical our team works closely together wrapping support around our clients and recruits.
The day helps to build healthy competition between the teams but also brings our support and administration team closer to the consultants and recruiters, it also helps to bond with our partners and Amanda really got into the spirit of the day.
Everyone left the event up, even if there were evens on the bets, or even down like Amanda, they were up from the day itself.
If you are looking to take your team out next year, we can highly recommend Ladies’ Day at Sandown. The service was excellent, the food was plentiful and the aircon was well received.
With our mobiles and technology in place, we managed to take the afternoon and support our clients and candidates throughout the day.
