Internal Logistics Manager

Our client is one of the UK's largest Facilities Management company's. Due to there ongoing expansion and success they are looking to recruit an experienced Internal Logistics Manager.


As a key member of the site management team you will successfully manage shift supervisors and team leaders. You will be responsible for achieving a successful cost efficient operation in line with key metrics associated with all line feeding and shop-floor processes.

Key Responsibilities
•Ensure implementation, sustainability and continuous improvement of safety practices and procedures across all areas.
•Manage adherence to standardised processes and procedures to ensure Quality and Delivery objectives are met.
•Optimize resources/effective team organisation.
•Ensure business is cost effective by eradicating off standard costs such as overtime.
•Achieve SQDCME targets by engaging the Team.
•Drive continuous improvement activities through implementation of best practices, use data and problem solving tools to drive improvements.
•Effectively liaise with other departments, both internal and external customers, to ensure a highly productive environment is maintained at all times whilst fostering excellent working relationships with the customer.
•Work closely with Team supervision to implement company policies and targets.
•Coach and develop Team supervision to maintain and improve processes and achieve targets, review performance of subordinates, provide leadership and take appropriate action to improve.
•Excellent working knowledge and management of Human Resource policies and procedures.

Candidate Specification
•Candidates must come from within a fast paced production/manufacturing environment.
•Must be a team player with strong leadership skills capable of motivating and engaging the team in issue resolution and continuous improvement.
•Must lead by example and be professional at all times.
•Must have a 'Full Hands On’ approach, high visibility on shop floor is key.
•Have a robust management style capable of addressing varying people related issues, must demonstrate a firm, fair and consistent style at all times.
•Excellent problem solving skills with ability to deep dive into our processes.

Salary: £45000
Location: Dagenham, Essex
