HGV2 Delivery Driver ( Dagenham )

About this Role
Our client who specializes in supplying foam, rubber and plastics to the furniture industry are looking for an experienced class 2 driver to join their family run business in Dagenham. You will be responsible for safely and professionally completing deliveries to customers. You will complete between 3-9 drops per day, curb side delivery. Handballing is involved in this job. This position is on an adhoc basis Working hours would be - Mon, Thurs and Friday 8-4 - Tues and Wed 8-5 (including 45 minutes lunch break )
The successful candidate will have following experience
- Valid and current HGV class 2 license
- Fluent in written and verbal English
- Physically fit (some heavy lifting required)
- Previous relevant experience is essential ( minimum of 1 year )
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to pick up new tasks quickly and efficiently
- Reliable and hardworking with a ‘can do’ attitude
Responsibilities
- Driving lorries up to 18 tonnes, delivering orders to our customers
- Supporting the warehouse team in loading/unloading goods
- Building brilliant working relationships with your customers and other departments
- Using your knowledge of the local region to deliver on-time
