About this Role

At Axiom Personnel we are currently recruting for a A level History Lecturer for a well-established client in Shadwell. This is a temporary position till the end of February starting from January 6th, 2025. This position is Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. Salary is £28.43 p/hr.

The successful candidate will have following experience

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • An ability to offer other related subjects will be an advantage. Person Specification:
-Possession of a degree with a History component is essential. -Experience of successful and innovative teaching in A Level / GCSE                                                                    History and ideas for sharing this with colleagues.  An understanding of the differences between teaching and learning and an ability to evaluate them. -Evidence of the ability to teach effectively to a range of students of all ages and to prepare relevant materials; -An awareness of the pastoral and the academic needs of students from a variety of backgrounds and the ability to respond to those needs positively and sensitively; -Experience of working as a member of a team and evidence of ability to work effectively with colleagues;  

Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF JOB:

  • To teach on a range of courses within the college.
  • To work effectively as a member of the team, liaising with Senior Curriculum Manager and all colleagues in the College.
  • To take an active role in own professional development in relation to all aspects of the role.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
