Celebrating International Women’s Day with our team at Axiom Personnel

We are fortunate to have a great team of dynamic women who work with us at Axiom Personnel, both full and part-time, embracing the benefits of flexible working to support their careers and families.

Today is the 112th celebration of International Women’s Day, with the first event being held in 1911 when over 1 million women took part in Austria, Denmark, Germany and Switzerland. It took until 1975 for the event to be recognized by the United Nations and is now a national holiday in many places around the world, including Russia and Ukraine. Many countries have merged the date with Mother’s Day to bring together the celebration and highlight the importance of women and mothers.

The theme this year is #Embraceequity, challenging stereotypes and embracing diversity. Our team is dominated by women, with over 50% of the office women, ranging from one young woman who is working with us around her college studies, a mum of a teenage girl who works around school times, another mum who has young children and also works with us around school days and holidays. Alongside full-time women pursuing careers in recruitment consultancy.

We have always worked with all of our employees to provide a supportive flexible approach to hours worked and days in the office. The female employment rate sits at 72.3% with the majority of part-time employees being women. Women dominate caring professions, with health and social care employing 77% of women.

Recruitment consultancy still remains a male-dominated industry, we are pleased at Axiom Personnel we are bucking that trend.
